OWNER SURRENDER

DAERRS places a priority on taking shelter or abused DOGOS.  Many times, we have to turn down shelter DOGOS because we don't have a suitable  foster home. For this reason, we only accept owner surrenders if the following conditions are met:

1.  The dog is of sound temperment.
2.  The dog is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention.
3.  The dog is accompanied by its toys, bedding, crate, food, dishes, registration papers, etc.
4.  The owner is willing to either bring the dog up-to-date on its shots and other necessary medical treatment (alter the  dog if not done already) or the owner is willing to pay a surrender fee to cover the costs of altering the dog and bringing it up-to-date on vaccinations.
5.  The owner has made reasonable effort to find a new home or returning to the breeder prior to contacting DAERRS.
6.  The owner is willing to hold the dog until a foster home becomes available, or
7.  The owner is willing to pay the costs to board the dog until a foster home becomes available.
8.  If DAERRS agrees to take the dog, the oner must sign an Owner Surrender Contract with DAERRS.

If you have decided to surrender your DOGO to DAERRS, please complete the Owner Surrender Form below.  This form can be submitted online using the submit button. Owner Surrender Fee - $150.00
